How long is the first office visit?

First visits are 75-90 minutes. Return visits are 50-75 minutes.

How does acupuncture work?

It’s not as mysterious as you may think.
The acupuncture points communicate with the brain activating your body’s self-healing mechanisms by stimulating nerves and releasing chemicals.

How Will I feel After?

You’ll probably feel relaxed enough to drift into a restful state during your first visit. Quite often it turns into a super rejuvenating 20 min nap.

What does acupuncture feel like, does it hurt?

Today’s acupuncture needles are extremely fine in diameter – about the thickness of two human hairs. Because the needles are so small, often to the astonishment of my first-time visitors who take the plunge, acupuncture does not hurt. Some say they feel a nice, tingly feeling, while others feel a bit of a heavy sensation.

Benefits of Acupuncture:

Calming Stress

When Monday morning traffic sets you off, and the irritating coworkers pushed you over the edge, acupuncture helps your body release feel-good hormones such as serotonin, noradrenaline, and dopamine, along with a flood of soothing endorphins.

Relaxing Muscles & Stopping Pain

I’ll show you how one session can start to relax tight muscles and areas of pain and tension and release endorphins, your body's natural pain-relieving chemicals – along with serotonin, a brain chemical for your mood.

Hormonal Balancing & PMS Relief

Helps you get off the hormone swing! It starts with increasing circulation and raising endorphins, which enhances your mood – giving you a relaxed feeling.  Herbal formulas naturally balance hormones virtually eliminating the need for ibuprofen or other pain killers during menstruation.

Easier Digestion

If your foods are fighting you, fight back with acupuncture.  Helps with both stomach and colon issues by stimulating certain acupressure points on your body that affects your digestion, including the stomach, small and large intestine.

Bright & Energetic Mood

Acupuncture hacks into your happy hormones for the best energy and mood! Your body is flooded with four hormones: oxytocin, endorphins, serotonin and dopamine. At the same time, less of the stress hormone cortisol is released.
