Arthritis

Treatment of Arthritis With Acupuncture:
Research shows that acupuncture is effective in managing the pain and other symptoms associated with arthritis. Clinical trials and meta analysis show that acupuncture can reduce the severity of arthritis pain as well as the frequency of recurrence, while at the same time improve quality of life factors such as the range of motion of a joint.  Other traditional Chinese medical therapies such as herbal formulas and qigong have also shown promising results.

What To Expect:
The treatment program for Arthritis is 1-2 treatments a week for 4 weeks, a re-evaluation of the patient’s response, followed by 1 treatment per week for four weeks.  I use a combination of therapies tailored to the patient’s specific needs and treatments may be altered over time in response to a changing presentation of the illness.  Treatments usually include acupuncture and an herbal formula.
