Insomnia

Treatment of Insomnia With Acupuncture:
Research finds that acupuncture has a high success rate for treating insomnia.  It improves sleep duration as well as quality.  Acupuncture increases melatonin secretion and reduces anxiety.

What To Expect:
Though acupuncture may work gradually compared to western pharmaceuticals, it is more permanent with no side effects.
The treatment protocol for sleep issues is 1-2 treatments per week for 8 weeks in conjunction with a Chinese Herbal Formula.  This is followed by 1 treatment a week for 4 weeks.  At this time we re-evaluate the condition and proceed accordingly.
